Indonesia Has 40 Ghosts, Creepy and Terrifying

INDONESIA, RBTVDISWAY.ID - Several large countries in Europe and America are celebrating Halloween. 

This celebration commemorates the belief in the power of evil spirits after death. In Indonesia, such celebrations are similar to our ghost day celebrations. 

We will see people suddenly walking on the sidewalk dressed in kuntilanak or genderuwo costumes.

However, there is no such celebration in Indonesia. When it comes to ghosts, Indonesia has many different types.

1. Akar Mimang-Jawa

Not many people know what it looks like, but if someone is walking in the forest and feels like they are going around in circles, it is said that they are passing through akar mimang.

2. Banyu-Samarinda

A river ghost that can take any form. It usually disturbs or scares people who are bathing in the river.

3. Jeruk Purut Ghost-Jakarta

A headless priest ghost. Often appears around the Public Cemetery, Central Jakarta.

4. Jerangkong-Java

A ghost in the form of living human bones.
