Abu Hurairah RA heard the Prophet say:

قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. الزَّلَازِلُ وَيَتَقَارَبَ الزَّمَانُ وَتَظْهَرَ الْفِتَنُ وَيَكْثُرَ God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing الْمَالُ Meaning: The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "The Hour will not come until after knowledge is lost, earthquakes occur frequently, time seems to pass quickly, various kinds of trials arise, Al-Haraj (murder) occurs, and wealth becomes abundant among you." (Narrated by Bukhari).

Another hadith also states:

When the Day of Resurrection draws near, there will be a great deal of death, and after it will come years of many earthquakes," (Narrated by Ahmad).

Meaning: "When the Day of Resurrection draws near, there will be a great deal of death, and after it will come years of many earthquakes." Meanwhile in another hadith it is explained:

يَا ابْنَ حَوَالَةَ إِذَا رَأَيْتَ الْخِلَافَةَ قَدْ نَزَلَتْ God willing وَالْبَلَايَا وَالْأُمُورُ or يَوْمَئِذٍ أَقْرَبُ إِلَى النَّاسِ مِنْ يَدَيَّ هَذِهِ مِنْ رَأْسِكَ

Meaning: "O Ibn Hawaa, if you have seen The caliphate spread from Medina to Syria, and earthquakes, disasters, and other terrifying things occurred. Then, at that time, the Hour will be nearer than the distance between your hands and your heads." (Narrated by Ahmad).

Based on the hadiths above, earthquakes provide several lessons:

Minor Signs of the Hour

The number of earthquakes is one of the minor signs of the Hour, the beginning of which has already appeared and continues and increases until the Hour actually occurs.
