According to the book "Oil Makes the World Amazed" by Yulianus Haryata and data from the 2024 Oil and Gas Statistics Book on the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources website, the following are the provinces that are the largest oil-producing regions in Indonesia:

1. Riau
Riau Province has long been Indonesia's largest oil producer.
Several oil blocks are located here, including the Rokan Block, Mountain Front Kuantan, Siak, Selat Panjang, Coastal Plains, Pekanbaru, and the Strait of Malacca.
The largest is the Rokan Block in Dumai, which once recorded production of up to 600 barrels per day.
However, this figure has declined year after year. According to detikcom, this block produces around 160,000 barrels per day.
2. Central Java
The Java Sea also produces significantly more oil than other regions.
This refinery, based in Cilacap, is capable of producing around 348,000 barrels per day.
3. East Kalimantan
