To maintain their full flavor, melons need to be stored at room temperature. However, once cut, melons can be stored in the refrigerator for three to four days.
8. Honey
Refrigeration will cause honey to harden quickly. Therefore, honey should be stored at room temperature and away from direct sunlight.
9. Berries
Fresh berries already have a short shelf life, so remove berries from the refrigerator and eat them within a day or two of purchase.
10. Garlic
Refrigeration can reduce the flavor of garlic and affect its shelf life. This is because the refrigerator can cause mold to grow on garlic. Therefore, it is best to store garlic in a paper bag in a dark place.
