7. Jambi

In seventh place, Jambi produces 2.53 million tons of palm oil, or around 5.4% of the national total. The oil palm area in Jambi reaches 1.03 million hectares.

East Tanjung Jabung, Muaro Jambi, and Batanghari regencies are the production centers. Despite facing issues of deforestation and peatland issues, the Jambi regional government continues to promote the implementation of sustainable palm oil principles to preserve the environment and improve the image of Jambi's palm oil products in the global market.

8. West Sumatra

West Sumatra Province contributes 1.42 million tons of palm oil production, or approximately 3.0% of the national total. Its oil palm plantations cover 1.42 million hectares.

Limapuluh Kota, Agam, and Tanah Datar Regencies are the main producing areas.

Unlike other provinces, West Sumatra's topography is more hilly, making harvesting and transporting fresh fruit bunches (FFB) sometimes more expensive. However, productivity per hectare tends to be competitive due to soil fertility.

9. South Kalimantan

With a production of 1.33 million tons, South Kalimantan ranks ninth, contributing approximately 2.8% of the national total.

The total plantation area in this province is 0.47 million hectares. Barito Kuala and Banjar regencies are the main areas for palm oil development.

Although not as large as Central Kalimantan or West Kalimantan, South Kalimantan has potential for land expansion, particularly in riverbanks and swampy areas.

10. Aceh

Aceh closes the list with a production of 1.01 million tons, approximately 2.1% of national palm oil production. The total area of palm oil in Aceh is recorded at 1.01 million hectares.

The regencies of Aceh Tamiang, East Aceh, and Aceh Singkil are the main contributors.
