INDONESIA, RBTVDISWAY.ID – There's a little-told story about Adolf Hitler's history and its connection to Indonesia.

As is known, Nazi leader Adolf Hitler died after Germany's defeat in World War II. The leader, known as the dictator, died in 1945 in Berlin, Germany, by shooting himself.

However, Hitler's death left a strange mystery. His body was never found.

This is in accordance with Hitler's will, which stated that he did not want his body to fall into enemy hands and be humiliated.

This request was based on the death of his close friend and Italian ally, Benito Mussolini, a few days before Hitler's death. Mussolini's body was publicly humiliated after being shot. Therefore, the Nazi leader, nicknamed the Fuhrer, ordered his loyal supporters to burn his body after committing suicide with a German woman he had recently married, Eva Brau.

To this day, Hitler's body has never been found and has never been made public.

However, in recent years, rumors have circulated that Hitler did not commit suicide. The Nazi leader managed to escape from his bunker in Berlin, which was besieged by the Red Army.

Hitler reportedly spent the rest of his life in various locations, the exact location of which remains unknown. In fact, Hitler is rumored to have spent the rest of his life in Indonesia.

Some indications come from a story told by a Bandung doctor, Sosrohusodo, about a German hospital director on Sumbawa Besar Island in 1960 named Dr. Poch.

Based on his direct meetings and conversations with Poch, Sosrohusodo was convinced that Dr. Poch was the Nazi leader, Adolf Hitler. His belief was based on Dr. Poch's mysterious physical characteristics.

Furthermore, Poch did not possess a medical degree or license. Based on his physical characteristics, Dr. Poch had a disability. He had to drag his left leg when walking, and his right hand always trembled. These characteristics matched Hitler's physical condition before his death.

These physical characteristics were described by Hitler's former aide, Heinz Linge, in an article titled "The True Story of a Dictator's Last Day," published in Zaman magazine in 1980.

Sosrohusodo's belief was also based on a biography of Hitler he had read. Sosrohusodo became even more convinced when he discussed Hitler's rule with Dr. Poch.
