The data shows that Indonesia is the third-largest tin producer in the world, behind China and Myanmar.
Indonesia has successfully become a global tin producer, producing 52 metric tons of tin.

Five regions are known to be the largest tin producers in Indonesia. The five regions are:
1. Bangka Belitung
Bangka Belitung Province is the leading tin-producing region in Indonesia. In fact, this region is estimated to account for 90 percent of the country's tin production.
Tin mining activities in Bangka Belitung have been ongoing since 1711. Bangka Belitung's tin resources in 2021 were estimated at 2.1 million tons, with tin reserves of 1.9 million tons.
Several areas in Bangka Belitung Province that contribute to Indonesia's tin production are Sungai Liat and Muntok.
2. Riau
The next largest tin-producing region in Indonesia is Riau Province, with a total production of 10,000 tons of tin per year.
