Another coal company, PT Indo Tambangraya Megah Tbk (ITMG), also recorded a 13.41% increase in production in the first half of 2024.

This company, part of the Banpu Group, achieved total production of 9.3 million tons, up from 8.2 million tons in the same period last year.

Coal production in Indonesia has continued to increase in recent years, reaching a record high of 775,182 tons in 2023. The following are statistics on the development of domestic coal production:
