Here's a List of Copper-Producing Regions in Indonesia, One of the National Mining Flagships
Copper is one of the promising mining sectors in Indonesia.--
This smelter is expected to process 1.7 million tons of copper concentrate to produce 600,000 tons of copper cathode per year.
In addition to copper, this smelter can also produce up to 50 tons of gold per year and 150 to 200 tons of silver per year.
Other by-products from this mine include 1.5 million tons of sulfuric acid, 1.3 million tons of copper slag, and 150,000 tons of gypsum per year.

Still owned by PT Freeport, the Mimika copper smelter's average annual production capacity reaches 670,000 tons.
According to a 2019 report, this Papuan mine produced 607 million tons of copper, increasing to 809 million tons in 2020.
