Here's a List of Copper-Producing Regions in Indonesia, One of the National Mining Flagships

Copper is one of the promising mining sectors in Indonesia.--

However, the mine, managed by PT Aneka Tambang (Antam) Tbk, closed in 2016 and became an educational tourist attraction after 40 years of operation.

Despite this, the mine once produced up to 569,041 tons of copper and gold annually.

5. Silungkang, West Sumatra

Sumatra is also one of the largest copper-producing regions in Indonesia.

Copper smelters in West Sumatra are located in several areas, such as Lunto and Silungkang.

The Silungkang mine itself can produce approximately 419,600 tons of copper annually, covering a mining area of over 3,102 hectares.
