Hong Kong investors, through PT Oxyndo Exploration (Minerals and Metals Group), affiliated with PT Panah Mas, have begun surveying the field for indications of potential gold and associated Minerals in three sub-districts in the southern region of Lumajang Regency, East Java.
Reporting from the official website bappeda.jatimprov.go.id, November 3, 2011, Head of the Economic Division of the Regency Government Lumajang, Nurul Huda, stated that the government has issued a survey permit to investigate a 15,000-hectare area in the Pronojiwo, Tempursari, and Candipuro districts.
MMG, Nurul said, submitted its company profile to the Lumajang Regency Government when applying for a survey permit at several locations in the three districts.
The government, Nurul said, has even issued a permit to the company to conduct a preliminary survey at the location.
