8. Bonet Roof Model

The Bonet roof model is a combination of the pyramid roof model and the hip roof model.

The concept of this roof model is multi-level, with the lower part of the roof projecting outward to cover the gap in the room below.

You can find this roof model in typical Javanese Joglo houses.

Besides Java, we can also find the Bonet roof model in other areas of the United States, such as Louisiana and Mississippi.

9. Cross-Grip Roof Model

This cross-grip roof model is also common in Indonesia. Its shape resembles the hip roof model, but with slight differences.

The roofs appear to intersect and form a triangular pattern, giving the appearance of being pointed, as the name suggests.

Although this roof model only looks triangular when viewed from the side, it has two identical main sides.

Commonly used in Indonesian houses, the smaller, pointed roof section is often used to mark the entrance and back door.

10. Saw-Shaped Roof

The saw-shaped roof is typically used in factories or industrial locations. This is because the steep shape of the saw-shaped roof protects workers and factory machinery from direct sunlight.

In general, the saw-shaped roof can still be used in residential areas, especially those with an industrial style.
