Metatah Stages

1. Magumi Padangan

Magumi Lihat is the first metatah procession, performed by asking for holy water in the kitchen to cleanse oneself both spiritually and spiritually.

This ceremony signifies that the adult (metatah participant) is ready to settle down and take responsibility for his or her family. 2. Ngekeb

The ngekeb ceremony is held in a meten (house) or building, or in seclusion in bed. This ceremony signifies that participants in the metatah ceremony must promise to control their inner demons.

3. Mabyakala

Mabyakala is a ceremony performed in the front yard of the house with the aim of cleansing themselves of evil spirits originating from within.
