The operational area of the Martabe Gold Mine in South Tapanuli Regency covers 509 hectares as of January 2022.

The Martabe Gold Mine began full production on July 24, 2012, and has a resource base of 6.5 million ounces of gold and 64 million ounces of silver as of June 30, 2022.

The operating capacity is over 7 million tons of ore per year, producing over 200,000 ounces of gold and 1-2 million ounces of silver per year.

4. Sumbawa Gold Mine

According to the Amman Mineral International (AMMAN) website, Sumbawa contains copper and gold mineral wealth at the Batu Hijau Mine.

This mine has been operating since 2000 and has contributed significantly to regional revenues for West Sumbawa Regency and West Nusa Tenggara Province.

The Batu Hijau Mine's primary product is copper concentrate, a material that is crucial to sustaining life in today's modern world.

From electrical cables and electronic components to antibacterial equipment in hospitals, all use significant amounts of copper.

In addition to copper, AMMAN is also the second-largest gold producer in Indonesia. Gold is widely used in jewelry, not only for its beauty but also for its resistance to tarnishing and corrosion.
