Indonesia has many gold mines, not only Freeport.--
According to the PT Nusa Halmahera Minerals (NHM) website, based on a contract of work signed with the Indonesian government on April 28, 1997, NHM's working area, known as the Gosowong Gold Mine, is located in North Halmahera Regency, North Maluku.
NHM manages a contract of work area of approximately 29,622 hectares.
The surface open pit has been completed. Currently, NHM is fully engaged in underground mining activities in two production areas: Kencana and Toguraci.
