In 2023, Antam's total gold ore reserves reached 860,000 dry metric tons (dmt) of gold ore, equivalent to 184,000 troy oz (5.72 tons) of contained gold metal.

Furthermore, the company's gold mineral resources in the same year reached 5.14 million dmt of gold ore, equivalent to 729,000 troy oz (22.68 tons) of contained gold metal.

Therefore, Antam remains committed to optimizing the potential of existing resources for sustainable production and operational efficiency.

4. Halmahera, North Maluku

Halmahera Island is listed as one of the islands in Indonesia with significant potential for gold reserves.

This gold reserve is a gold mine managed by PT Nusa Halmahera Minerals, often abbreviated as NHM.

This company is owned by PT Indotan Halmahera Bangkit with 75% ownership, while the remaining 25% is owned by PT Aneka Tambang Tbk. (Antam).

This gold mine is located at the Gosowong Gold Mine, located in North Halmahera Regency, North Maluku Province.

The gold mine, known as Gosowong, was discovered through greenfield exploration on Halmahera Island. In 1996, initial resources were recorded at 770 Koz Au, and by 2020, these resources had increased to 7 Moz Au.

Since operations began, the mine has produced approximately 6 Moz Au at an average grade of 25 g/t Au.

Currently, open-pit mining at the Gosowong Gold Mine has been completed, and NHM is now fully focused on underground mining activities in two production areas: Kencana and Toguraci.
