Gold Reserves in Lampung Province, Indonesia, Estimated at 669,000 Tons, Here's the Location

Thousands of tons of gold have been discovered in Lampung, not just in Kalimantan and Papua.

This gold mine is located in the Lampung Province Regency, and remarkably, it contains 669,000 tons of gold.

The excavation is being carried out by PT Natarang Mining, a mining company.

The distance from the capital city of Bandar Lampung to the gold mine is only about 103 km, with a travel time of approximately 3 hours and 5 minutes.

The gold mine is located in Way Linggo Forest, Gunung Doh Village, Tanggamus Regency, Lampung Province, covering an area of 40 hectares.

According to the 2022 Regional Government Cooperation Plan (RKPD) Guidelines, published on lampungprov.go.id, Tanggamus Regency is not the only region with gold mines.

West Lampung also holds gold reserves covering 16,783 hectares, while Way Kanan Regency boasts gold reserves worth 829,680 tons.

Furthermore, Central Lampung and South Lampung also have gold reserves worth 102,875 tons and 10,732.5 tons, respectively.

Furthermore, Heriansyah, Director of PT Natarang Mining, stated that he conducted gold mining in Tanggamus Regency, Lampung, and discovered 669,000 tons of gold.

However, it should be noted that some of these mines lacked legal mining permits and were subsequently shut down by police.

Therefore, gold mining activities in Lampung are indeed under scrutiny and require strict oversight.
